Mission Statement:
The Ministry of the Covenant Community Church Library is to educate, edify and entertain adults, youth, and children by providing quality books, audio and video tapes, and other materials that exemplify Christian values.

The emphasis of the Library is really two-pronged. First, we have resources to "educate and edify". This includes nonfiction books, audio tapes, and videos on living the Christian life, evangelism, church history, famous Christians, prayer, etc. Top Christian authors include Max Lucado, Dr. James Dobson, Philip Yancy, Charles Swindoll, Barbara Johnson, C.S. Lewis, and Joni Erickson Tada. Along with books for adults, we have books for kids, including Bible stories and devotionals. Teaching videos feature Gary Smalley, Kevin Leman, and others. On audio tape you can find Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, The Prayer of Jabez, and Why I Believe by Chuck Colson, among others.

Secondly, we provide alternative entertainment choices - fiction books (print and audio), other audio tapes, and videos for kids and adults that entertain from a Christian world view or with a Christian message. A large selection of Christian fiction includes popular authors such as Francine Rivers, Angela Hunt, Robin Lee Hatcher, Bodie and Brock Thoene, and Jerry Jenkins. Fiction books for children include the Left Behind: The Kids series, the Chronicles of Narnia, Mandie (both the regular series and the Young Mandie books), the Cul-de-Sac kids, and other chapter books for second grade through junior high.

On audio tape we have a growing collection of resources produced by Focus on the Family, including the Adventures in Odyssey program and Focus on the Family's award-winning Family Radio Theatre which brings classic fiction (like the Chronicles of Narnia and Les Miserables  by Victor Hugo) to life with top-notch actors and special effects.

The most popular shelf in the Resource Center is the children's video shelf featuring beloved series like Veggie Tales, Little Dogs on the Prairie, Bibleman, the Book of Virtues, the Storykeepers, and Adventures in Odyssey. We try to keep up-to-date with the very latest videos as they become available. If you have kids, you are missing out on a great teaching tool if they are not seeing these videos that teach and promote Biblical values while entertaining the kids (and their parents!). In addition to series primarily for kids, we also have shows for the whole family including TV classics like Little House on the Prairie and Touched by an Angel and Sarah, Plain and Tall

The Library is open one half hour following the Sunday 11 a.m. service. Resources are checked out at no charge for three weeks and may be renewed. There is an overdue fee of one item for our food pantry (canned good, paper bags, toiletries) for each overdue item.
